FBR warns against issuing manual tax notices
KARACHI: Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has warned tax officers of initiating disciplinary proceedings for provision of manual tax notices, together with audit and assessment.
The FBR in a politician communication sent to massive Taxpayers Offices (LTOs), Regional Tax Offices (RTOs), company Tax workplaces (CTOs) and Medium Taxpayers Office (MTO) that instances had been reportable to the fbr that field officers tend to issue manual notices and assessment orders.

The FBR issued the following directions to the tax offices:
i. All statutory notices offered in IRIS shall be issued electronically with none exception; manual supply of notices, offered in IRIS, isn't allowed.
ii. All orders shall be issued electronically through IRIS; supply of manual orders isn't allowed.
iii. All Commissioners square measure requested to conduct a periodic review to make sure that notices/orders square measure issued electronically.
Any divergence from directions shall be viewed as unskillfulness and shall entail disciplinary proceedings, the FBR aforesaid.
